Mobile Phones

The company provides cell phones to certain team members whom need mobile phone capabilities. Our provider is Verizon Wireless. Each employee who is authorized a cell phone can at their option, elect to use a personal cell phone and be reimbursed (see policy link for details). Employees also can receive over 20% discounts for plan services from Verizon Wireless.

If you are required to connect your mobile device (Phone or Tablet) to the corporate network or email and calendar, it will need to be enrolled to our Mobile Device Management software.

If you are authorized to have a company phone, and you elect to use your personal cell phone instead of a company-issued device – it will need to be enrolled in our Mobile Device Management software.

About Mobile Device Management (MDM): 

Cisco Meraki Systems Manager is management software designed to compartmentalize and protect individual and company information stored on computers and mobile devices. To protect our company and your personal data from potential breaches from lost or stolen devices, Cisco Meraki Systems Manager provides us the ability to protect or wipe this data from unauthorized users. We are being held to much stricter standards to protect company data because of the increase in personal and health-related data that is exchanged and stored on these devices. While personally owned devices are managed differently than corporate-owned devices, Cisco Meraki Systems Manager will not have the ability to store personally protected data (i.e. text messages).

 

Monthly Reimbursement For Your Phone:

The Company recognizes that some authorized team members may desire to utilize their own cell phone number and equipment. In order to accommodate those team members that desire to use their own equipment and number, the following is the policy of the Company in regards to reimbursement:

You may use your own cell phone number and equipment at your expense.

If your position is provided a voice-only line, then the Company will reimburse you at the rate of:

$25 per month if you are a non-Verizon customer.
$30 per month if you are a Verizon customer.

If your position is provided a voice and data phone, then the Company will reimburse you at the rate of:

$50 per month if you are a non-Verizon customer.
$60 per month if you are a Verizon customer.

 

As a condition to receiving reimbursement for a phone with data, you will be required to sign an agreement and personal endorsement (i.e.: a personal guarantee)to 4 issues:

Company data sent/received is owned by the Company.

Company data sent/received is confidential and if patient or other protected data is received by you, you will maintain that data confidentiality.

That if the phone is stolen, lost, or misplaced, or out of your control, that you will immediately notify the Company.

That the Company has the right to erase the data on the device (this could include your personal data in extenuating circumstances) at any time, any place, for any reason, and without any advance notice to you, as determined in the sole discretion of the Company.

For company-issued mobile phones, passwords for voice mail are set by the IT Department and provided to the user at the time the mobile phone is issued.
